The name issue agreement reached between Greece and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) will benefit both sides, despite “systematic efforts” to dismiss its long-term importance, Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias said on Thursday evening, wrapping up a meeting reviewing the agreement’s legal aspects.
“There can be no political games with the dignity and freedom of people. It is unacceptable,” Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias said on Thursday in an interview with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on the arrest and detention of two Greek soldiers by Turkey.
