A total of 22 individuals were placed under arrest on the islands of Mykonos, Paros and Rhodes for violating regulations on occuping public space on beaches during raids carried out by the competent authorities on Thursday 17 August in the context of the intense inspections that are held on the islands of the Southern Aegean,

Additionally, a series of violations of the law for the use of the shoreline and the beaches by businesses were found during on site inspections by teams of the National Transparency Authority in areas of eastern Attica on Sunday 13 August.
