Preliminary investigative committee for ten politicians allegedly involved in Novartis case




Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will propose the setting up of a preliminary investigative committee in parliament to look into possible involvement of ten politicians in the Novartis bribery case, during a meeting of SYRIZA’s parliamentary group on Monday, as government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos has already announced.

The meeting is scheduled at 11:00, in Parliament. The prime minister is expected to stress the positive performance of the Greek economy, the success of the 7-year bond while he will also present the government’s main targets.
According to sources, Tsipras is expected to stress the need for everyone to assist in shedding light to the case.
On his part, parliament president Nikos Voutsis has said that the parliamentary committee will be set up after February 19.
