Relevations about the handling of state secret funds is a major political issue, main opposition New Democracy (ND) said on Thursday in an announcement.
Main opposition New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis will be meeting with representatives of Greek trade union and employer associations at 16:00 on Wednesday, at the party’s headquarters on Pireos Street.
“Forty-two days after the national tragedy, Mr.Tsipras returned to the scene of the crime. Not to apologise for the incapacity of his government that led to 98 dead and the desolation of an area. But to hide his responsibilities again as he did that tragic night.
“Tsipras represents the past. He cannot speak about the optimistic future of Greece,” main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Friday following Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ speech on the island of Syros.
New Democray renewed its call for early elections on Friday, saying that the government is weakening and that the only solution for the country are snap polls.
It is clear that the present government is falling apart and the connective tissue that is holding it together is dissolving, main opposition New Democracy press spokeswoman Maria Spyraki told the private broadcaster SKAI on Saturday. It was clear that the government had to go, she added, urging citizens to hear ND’s proposals.
