Signs bearing the new names of the international airport in Skopje and a motorway in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) will be put up within the next few days, as soon as the FYROM government’s decision to rename them is published in the government gazette.
State Minister and government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos said on Monday in statements to public broadcaster ERT that main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis must state his position on the negotiation (on the FYROM name issue).
UN mediator for the FYROM name issue Matthew Nimetz expressed his optimism that a mutually acceptable solution will be found, in statements to the newspaper “Kathimerini”.
