Alternate Foreign Minister George Katrougalos will meet on Thursday at 16:00 with Deputy Prime Minister of FYROM Bujar Osmani in Athens.
“Those currently in power have played with a national issue and turned it into a petty party political disagreement,” claimed main opposition New Democracy (ND) shadow foreign minister George Koumoutsakos, referring to the Prespes Agreement at an event held on Tuesday evening at the Institute of Political Studies “Centre of Urban Reform”.

The Parliament in neighbouring FYROM approved a revision the country’s constitution in accordance with the Prespes Agreement signed with Greece in a vote held late on Friday.

The required majority to ratify the Prespes Agreement in the Greek Parliament will be found, Digital Policy Minister Nikos Pappas suggested in an interview with 24/7 radio station on Friday, while also replying to questions regarding the foreign ministry’s secret funds.
“I have no doubt that the government retains the majority in parliament in all instances or that the Prespes Agreement will be backed by the necessary parliamentary majority,” stated Alternate Foreign Minister George Katrougalos to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency radio station “Praktoreio 104.9FM” on Wednesday.
The issue of the Greece-FYROM agreement on the latter country’s name led the agenda of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg on Monday, which Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias attended.
