KYSEA appoints new chiefs of police, fire brigade, in meeting chaired by PM

Τhe Government Council for National Security, which convened on Tuesday with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the chair, appointed new chiefs of the police force and fire brigade.
The Council decided to appoint Police Major General Dimitrios Mallios as the new Chief of Police, promoting him to Police Lieutenant General. The Council awarded Lazaros Mavropoulos the rank of Police General and the title of honorary chief of police.
In the same session, the Council decided to appoint Lieutenant Fire General Theodoros Vagias as the new fire brigade chief, giving his predecessor the rank of Fire General (Retired) and the title of honorary fire brigade chief.
