No active front in the area of Sarti, Chalkidiki, says Fire Brigade: Residents return to their homes

There is no active fire front in the area of Sarti, Chalkidiki, the Fire Brigade said on Friday. However, two firefighting aircrafts, two water-dropping helicopters, 70 fire engines and 160 firemen remain in the area for precautionary reasons.
The schools are closed in the village of Sarti while many of the residents that have left their houses on Thursday have returned to the village.
The fire broke out in a dense pine forest at 05:40 on Thursday and spread quickly due to strong winds blowing in the area.
