We are committed to supporting Greece in this new phase, US Ambassador Pyatt said

We are committed to supporting the Greek government, Greece and the Greek people while entering this new phase, US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt said in a statement to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) late on Monday.
Pyatt was speaking at an event held in Thessaloniki for the celebration of the Independence Day.
The US Ambassador stressed that this new phase must be focused on attracting foreign investments as this will be the key for growth which will help Greece overcome the consequences of a difficult economic crisis.
He also referred to the significant role that the energy sector can play to Greece’s economic recovery. He also referred to the importance that the US place on their presence as an honoured country in the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF).
Regarding the Prespes agreement, he said that the US see it as a very positive step of progress.
