Energy and Environment Minister Giorgos Stathakis said that the government does not discuss any new memorandum stating that “the only text that the government has in its hands is the growth plan including the reforms that have been launched and not completed yet”.

In an interview with ANT1 TV on Monday, he reiterated that the aim is the ‘clean exit from the memorandum in Energy and Environment Minister.

Stathakis said that the government can’t reduce the special tax on fuel in 2018 and defended the government’s social policy noting that there will be further support to the financially weaker as of autumn.

Concluding, the minister ruled out any raise on electricity rates.
