Greece seeks relations of friendship and good neighbourhood with Skopje and favours its northern neighbour’s NATO and European prospects, President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos said on Monday as he received visiting Indian President Ram Nath Kovind at the presidential mansion.
“Over time, we Greeks will defend freedom against everything and at all costs,” was the message sent by President Prokopis Pavlopoulos from Lasithi Plateau during an event marking 150 years from a battle held in the area in eastern Crete.
President of the Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos sent clear messages on Thursday to FYROM and Turkey, as well as calling for the resolution of the Cyprus issue, during his meeting with visiting President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid at the presidential mansion in Athens.
Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos sent on Wednedsay a clear message to Turkey regarding the respect for borders, stressing that “we always want to have good relations, we favour its European perspective but this requires respect of the European Union and Greece’s borders and we are not willing to make concessions.”
