Greece needs a stable and long-term left government, Digital Policy Minister, Pappas, says

“Greece needs a stable and long-term left government,” Digital Policy , Telecommunications and Media Minister, Nikos Pappas, said on Friday, in an interview with 247 radio station.

Pappas said that he fully agrees with those criticising the programme proposed by main opposition, New Democracy, and its leader, Kyriakos Mitsotakis: “The Mitsotakis programme is disasterous for the country and society…On one hand we have the recovery of the economy and of society, and on the other hand a policy that cannot produce results,” he said.

Regarding the stance adopted by Independent Greeks (ANEL) leader Panos Kammenos, head of the junior party in Greece’s coalition government, on the Prespes Agreement, Pappas said that when the planned procedures in the neighbouring country are over, it will be up to Greece to ratify the agreement. “The prime minister will decide on the exact moment,” he added.

He also said that Kamnemos has told the cabinet that he would continue to support the government by rejecting a motion of censure from New Democracy.
