First group of rallying farmers starts off from Omonia Square toward Syntagma

The first protest marches by farmers who have gathered at Omonia Square started off on foot for Syntagma Square on Tuesday afternoon.

They will rally in front of the parliament at 18:30, with farmers who have arrived in the capital with tractors, buses and cars from all over Greece.

Traffic around Omonia Square is proceeding without problems as of this writing.

Farmers have also lined up tractors at Syntagma, while police will gradually begin redirecting traffic in downtown Athens.
