Percentage participation in local government elections at 32.1% at 14:30, Livanios reports

The percentage participation of voters in the local government elections nationwide was at 32.1% at 14:30 on Sunday afternoon, Alternate Interior Minister Theodoros Livanios announced.

According to the minister, participation up until that time was slightly lower than in the parliamentary elections held in June.
Based on the updates from judicial representatives at 15,407 polling places, or 67% of the total 22,722 polling places throughout the country, a total of 2,133,672 voters had exercised their electoral rights until that time.
Percentage participation per region was as follows:
Eastern Macedonia-Thrace – 33.67%
Central Macedonia – 30.7%
Western Macedonia – 30.7%
Epirus – 36.4%
Thessaly – 36.6%
Ionian Islands – 29.8%
Western Greece – 35.1%
Central Greece – 38.2%
Attica – 27.3%
Peloponnese – 32%
North Aegean – 28.8%
South Aegean 34.4%
Crete 36.7%

The third and final update on voter participation will be released after 17:30.
