Very high temperatures expected to prevail in Greece from Friday to Sunday

Greece’s National Meteorological Service (EMY) on Tuesdayupdated its Severe Weather warning regarding the heatwave given the name CLEON, based on the latest forecast data.

The service reaffired that, on Tuesday and Wednesday, very high temperatures will prevail only in the western parts of the country.

On Thursday, however, when the northerly winds in the Aegean abate, temperatures will once again start to escalate in all parts of Greece.

Between Friday and Sunday, 21-23 July, especially, the entire country will be in the grip of a severe heatwave with very high temperatures, which will temporarily dip by 2-5C from Monday, July 24.
