Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, who was in Luxembourg on Monday to take part at the EU Foreign Affairs Council, stated upon his arrival for the meeting that he will brief his colleagues on his recent visit to Odessa on April 3 and on Greece’s efforts to send humanitarian aid, not only to Odessa but also to Mariupol, “which we are finding extremely difficult due to the problems created by Russia in allowing us to transfer this humanitarian aid”.

He also said that they are going to discuss the Western Balkans and Libya, adding: “I am going to ask my colleagues to hurry on this. Because, unless the European Union acts and acts now, we are running the risk of these becoming the theatres of the main crisis we are facing in Ukraine”.

Concluding, Dendias remarked: “I would like to say that this is a crisis referring to our values, to our core values: democracy, territorial integrity, human rights, rule of law. And we have to take a clear position on all fronts.”
