Queen Sofia of Spain was welcomed earlier on Friday at the Maximos Mansion by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his wife Mareva Grabovski-Mitsotakis.
The prime minister’s discussion with Queen Sofia focused on the pandemic and the improvements being recorded.
“Things are generally going better in our country, I think everywhere in Europe, and in Spain I see that things are also going better,” the prime minister said.
On her part, Queen Sofia said: “I must say: the whole world admires Greece.”
“We are making a great effort,” the prime minister replied, referring to the collective effort made by Greece to deal with the pandemic.
