Radio station 9.84 is having economic problems. At an Athens city council meeting on Wednesday, councilor Rigas Axelos said that the radio station has decided to dismiss four staff members and reduce the salaries of workers by up to 50 percent.

In response to these comments, the radio station chairwoman, Dimitra Sideri, said that the radio station will have a cash deficit of 150,000 euros by the end of the year.
