New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday asked for drastic intervention on the part of Greece’s lenders to alleviate the country’s debt, which was in Greece’s best interests, during his meeting with European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis. The meeting was held in Mitsotakis’ office at the Greek parliament.

According to ND’s announcement, Mitsotakis presented his party’s plan for the post-programme period in Greece, which emphasises the tax cuts to create a “growth-friendly environment”.
Moreover, he highlighted the necessity of bold reforms so that the Greek economy will have unobstructed access to the markets, at sustainable interest rates.
