Greece and Israel sign joint declaration for cooperation in tourism




Greece and Israel signed a Joint Declaration for Cooperation in Tourism, on the sidelines of the prime minister’s recent trip to Jerusalem at the head of a government delegation.

During the visit to Jerusalem on Wednesday, Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura and her Israeli counterpart Yariv Levin signed an agreement and reaffirmed their intention to encourage closer ties in tourism between the two countries, through joint action to boost the flow of tourists between Greece and Israel and to absorb a large share of the international market.

Among others, they examined the possibility of joint tourist packages and cruise packages targeting overseas markets.
