Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis participated in an event hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security on Wednesday evening, commemorating the two-year anniversary since the establishment of the Hellenic Auxiliary Pensions Defined Contributions Fund (TEKA). The event took place at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

During his address, Mitsotakis highlighted the multifaceted benefits expected from TEKA’s establishment, emphasizing that these benefits will materialize gradually over time. He underscored the need to challenge the misconception that retirement is not a relevant concern or that pension entitlement is uncertain.

“It is important to break this prejudice that to some extent exists in the younger generation, that retirement does not concern me, and even worse, that I will not receive a pension. So why should I invest today in something I consider to be an uncertain future. We must break this mentality because the provision of savings is a very important educational process with which young children must become familiar,” he added,

He further emphasized that TEKA soon to manage significant financial resources.
