The bills on private universities and postal voting among the first of the new year, Marinakis says

The bills on private universities, postal voting, changes in justice, as well as measures against sports violence will be the first ones to be submitted to the Parliament, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis said on Tuesday in an interview with Ant1 TV.

Marinakis pointed out that there will also be interventions in the economy aiming to increase incomes, while he made special reference to the fines against companies’ profiteering.

The government spokesperson said that the bill for marriage equality will be submitted in the next four years.

Asked about possible reactions on the side of the Church, he said: “The Church does not legislate, the Hellenic Republic has executive power, it has legislative power and, obviously, it also has judicial power. However, we always listen to the all the opinions with respect.”
