Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Thursday had a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the International Humanitarian Conference for Gaza’s civilian population in Paris.

During the meeting they discussed the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the need for a humanitarian pause in order to restore a continuous flow of aid to Gaza. They also discussed a proposal to open a humanitarian corridor by sea, while recognising the operational difficulties of such an endeavour.

In addition, Mitsotakis and Macron conducted an overall review of Greek-French relations.
