The aim is to reduce road deaths by 50% by 2030 and a combination of interventions is needed, mainly changes in road culture, the help of technology and better education of our young people to make sure they don’t drink and drive, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Tuesday in an interview with SKAI radio station.

Referring to poverty and inequalities, he underlined: “ELSTAT has published the data on poverty and inequalities which completely justify our policy. The percentage of Greeks at risk of poverty or social exclusion decreased by two percentage points. And all indicators related to inequalities have decreased.”

Regarding the OECD report, he said that the figures are wrong and based on forecasts and that is “why we have sent a letter.”

“One of the central goals of the next 4 years is the further reduction of inequalities. But until then we must support the vulnerable groups and reduce unemployment,” Mitsotakis said and underlined that the tax-free threshold for each child will be increased.

Finally, regarding the collaborations, he said that he sees no room for cooperation with Androulakis’s PASOK and it is not only a matter of persons, it is also a matter of politics.
“I don’t see any room for cooperation. The only solution for the country and the only proposal for governance is for New Democracy to win an absolute majority,” he stressed.
