“I am certain that the election results will surprise a good many people. All those who are now cultivating various scenarios, and are saying they do not like the opinion poll figures.

“I hear that [main opposition] SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance’s latest theory is that …[the opinion polls] do not correspond with reality because, supposedly, the citizens do not dare reply to pollsters,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated from Nikea, Piraeus on Wednesday.

He said that all will be clarified at the elections on May 21, in spite of the “minefield” posed by the system of simple proportional representation, and that regardless what happens next, “we will know who is going to rule Greece for the next four years and this will be New Democracy (ND)…”
Later, Mitsotakis visited the taverna “Kritikos” in Keratsini, which offers free meals to people who need them.

Mitsotakis will meet with representatives of the Holy Community of Mt Athos at the Maximos Mansion at 16:30.

At 18:30 he will meet with the Metropolitan of Nubia Savvas and at 19:30 he will attend an event on the Assessment of the Work of the Attica Region (2019-2023) that will be held at the Zappeion Mansion.
