Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Hieronymos led a New Year’s liturgy at the Athens Metropolitan Cathedral on Sunday, in the presence of Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

“May the new year be a blessed, peaceful, healthful and bring our actions success,” the archbishop said.

Also attending the liturgy were Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Greek Orthodox church leaders from Greece and abroad, ministers, and representatives of foreign churches, parties in Parliament, security forces and local authorities, among others.

The archbishop also paid a visit to the Greek president at the Presidential Mansion to convey his good wishes for the New Year.
