Five – day discussion on 2023 state budget begins on Tuesday

The five-day discussion of the State Budget, for the fiscal year 2023, will begin on Tuesday, 13 December afternoon in the plenary session of the Parliament, in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, with the positions of the rapporteurs of the parties.

The debate is scheduled to be concluded on Saturday, December 17, 2022, with the speeches of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the leader of the main opposition Alexis Tsipras and the other party leaders.

The budget debate will end – at the latest – at midnight on Saturday. Immediately afterwards, there will be a roll-call vote, which – by tradition – counts as a vote of confidence in the government.
