“Turkey’s behaviour on our border in Evros is provocative and many times it is absolutely inhumane, barbaric and medieval.
It is not just we who say this. The incident with the 92 migrants is recorded in an official Frontex report,” Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, said, among others, in an interview with Mega TV on Monday.
Theodorikakos, who participated in the summit of Interior Ministers of the “Berlin Process for the Western Balkans” held in Berlin, said he had denounced the Turkish provocation at the meeting.
“I presented the files to my colleagues, I talked again with the responsible EU Commissioner, Ylva Johansson, and I believe that a negative climate regarding the Turkish provocations is being formed in Europe. More and more people in Europe are realising that what Turkey is doing is not just a problem between Greece and Turkey, but a problem between Europe and Turkey. And it is a problem of respect for international law and the fundamental principles of humanity.”
