Greece, Bulgaria, Romania trilateral meeting on Thursday in Athens

The trilateral meeting of Greece, Bulgaria and Romania will be held on Thursday, May 12 in Athens at an initiative of Alternate Foreign Minister responsible for European issues Miltiadis Varvitsiotis.

Bulgaria’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Vasil Georgiev, and Romania’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Daniela Grigore Gitman, will also participate in the meeting, according to a Greek foreign ministry’s announcement.

The conflict in Ukraine, the energy crisis, the western Balkans and their European perspective, the migration issue, the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the relations with Turkey are on the meeting’s agenda.

The trilateral meeting will start at 11:00 while joint statements to the press will follow at about 12:45.
