Under the Auspices of: Hellenic Republic Ministry of Finance, Embassy of Greece in USA Washington, Consulate General of Greece to New York.
The virtual forum will begin at 10:30 am EDT with welcoming remarks by Athas Ioannou, President, Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce; Petros Doukas, President, International Chamber of Commerce Greece (ICC Hellas), Mayor of Sparta; H.E. Alexandra Papadopoulou, Ambassador for Greece in Washington DC.
H.E. Christos Staikouras, Minister of Finance will speak on Greek government tax incentives to attract foreign investment.
Panel discussions on
a) New tax incentives in Greece for high-net-worth individuals, pensioners, return of “brain drain” and attracting foreign individuals to work in Greece; alternative tax incentives re: attracting family offices, Angel and R & D investments;
b) Investment opportunities in Real Estate in Greece and tax considerations
c) New law for transferring assets of over 800.000 euros tax free to family members
d) Working through bureaucratic procedures (how to set up AFM, open bank accounts, form a company, and more).
Roundtable discussions will follow presentations. Questions will be received by the audience and will be answered by prominent tax consultants and lawyers.
