“There will be no horizontal closure of schools. Individual classes in schools will be closed if there are 50 pct + 1 cases,” Education Minister Niki Kerameus said on SKAI TV on Tuesday.

Kerameus reiterated that physical attendance of all educational structures was an absolute priority. “Our goal is to protect individual and public health but also to provide education. As a state, we must provide both,” she underlined.

• “Vaccinations have increased in recent days,” she said, “reaching 140,000 vaccinated children.”

The minister underlined that if she had children of school age, she would vaccinate them immediately: “I am addressing every parent. If I had children at that age, I would rush to vaccinate them. There are many dangers for children who are not vaccinated.”
