Hardalias in Thessaloniki after detection of South African Covid-19 strain

Deputy Civil Protection Minister Nikos Hardalias and the president of the National Public Health Organisation Panagiotis Arkoumaneas will be in Thessaloniki on Sunday after the detection of the so called South African strain of the coronavirus in the area.

The two top officials’ visit to Thessaloniki was considered imperative following a teleconference held earlier on Sunday with the participation of professor of infectious diseases Sotiris Tsiodras and other epidemiologists on the evaluation of the condition.
