The plan for February is to triple the number of vaccinations, Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias said to SKAI TV on Sunday.

In January 270,000 Greeks were vaccinated and the target was 200,000 but February will be a difficult month, it is the month of infections and viruses, he said.

“In March we will do even more and in April and May we will massively vaccinate the Greek society” he said.

“If the common European supply of vaccines continues without other problems it is obvious that until the start of the summer, we will have vaccinated the vulnerable groups, those working in the health sector, the elderly and an important number of our compatriots in order to be able to say that we look to the future with optimism”.

The minister said that “we will continue to put pressure to the companies and talks and cooperate with EU every day.

Kikilias said there are two things that worry him and these are the mutations of the virus that we now find them everywhere in Greece and the other that the people are tired. “I want to make again a plea. Caution, caution, caution. We must observe the measures and take care one another”.
