PM Mitsotakis meets with CEOs: Gov’t supporting businesses and creation of new jobs

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with members of the CEO Clubs’ Greek chapter, a business leaders network, in Athens on Monday.Mitsotakis assured the CEOs that the government supports entrepreneurship and business with actions, and looks forward to the creation of many, new and highly compensated positions. Part of this was the reductions in business tax and fees, as well as in insurance contributions, he said, according to government sources.

The CEOs said the initiatives by the government were a good start in improving conditions, as these factors were key to the attraction and retention of managers from abroad.

Mitsotakis and the business leaders also discussed the creation of regional hubs for informatics in Greece, the upgrade of transport infrastructures and more incentives in order to attract specialists from abroad.

The meeting was attended by several ministers including those of finance and developments, and consultants to the premier.

Companies represented included Boehringer-Ingelheim, Hellas Gold, Knauf, Plaisio, Flisvos Marina, Coffee Island, Signify, Coca-Cola 3E, Goldair Handling, LeasePlan, IBM, Accenture, Cisco, Goldair Tourism, and AIG.
