Katrougalos and Pyatt underline importance of Prespes Agreement in regional stability

The importance of the Greece-USA Strategic Dialogue for the future of bilateral
relations was the focus of the meeting between Alternate Foreign Minister George Katrougalos and US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt in Athens on Tuesday.
According to sources, during the meeting that it was held at the Foreign Ministry the two officials discussed the continuation of the Dialogue that was inaugurated after Katrougalos’ recent visit to Washington and his meeting there with US State Secretary Mike Pompeo.
Additionally, diplomatic sources said that Katrougalos and Pyatt discussed Greece’s regional role and expressed the joint belief that the Prespes Agreement will contribute to the stability of the wider region and to the strengthening of Greece’s role in the southeastern Mediterranean.
The debate on FYROM constitutional revision is expected to start on Wednesday
