Government Vice President and Development Minister Yiannis Dragasakis stressed on Thursday that nobody should play political games with the banks.
“The bank sector is a sensitive area and we should all be careful,” he said and added: “Speculative games must be investigated and institutions are obliged to show responsibility,” he underlined.
In an interview with Sto Kokkino radio station, Dragasakis said that there is a contradiction between the fundamentals of the banks and the stock market. He also explained that the economy is on a recovery phase based on the stress tests, there is capital adequacy and non-performing loans targets have been met.
