Greece supports the European accession of the western Balkan states, says minister Nikos Kotzias




The situation in the Middle East, particularly in Syria, cross-Atlantic ties and the western Balkans were discussed at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers that took place in Vienna. Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias highlighted the need for peace in the Middle East and in regards to the western Balkans, he supported the European accession of these states.

“Yesterday and today we had an informal meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU. We discussed the situation in the Middle East, particularly in Syria. I highlighted the need to insist on a policy of peace that will secure real measures, that do not exist yet, the return of the refugees,” said Kotzias after the meeting.
