Environment minister George Stathakis proclaims speeding up illegal building handiling process

The government has tabled an amendment that speeds up procedures for handling illegal building, including the execution of all demolition protocols for unauthorised residences in Attica, Environment and Energy Minister George Stathakis announced on Monday.
In a joint press conference with Alternate Environment Minister Sokratis Famellos and Interior Minister Panos Skourletis, Stathakis said the amendment will be passed in Parliament later on Wednesday and transfer the handling of illegal building from decentralised local administrations to the environment ministry and building inspectors.
