“SYRIZA hands out benefits of shame, New Democracy will bring quality jobs”, Kikilias says

“SYRIZA and normality have not, do not and will not co-exist,” stated New Democracy (ND) shadow defence minister Vassilis Kikilias on Thursday, in a comment on the speech given by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in parliament the previous day.
Speaking to SKAI TV, the main opposition deputy accused SYRIZA of chosing to overtax and devastate the middle class, adding that ND wants to support the country’s middle class, who form society’s backbone.
“ND will bring new quality job positions instead of the benefits of shame that SYRIZA want to hand out to its party’s clientele, contrary to the [wishes of the] majority in society,” Kikilias said.
Referring to ND’s call for early elections, Kikilias claimed that, for the first time on Wednesday, the prime minister had not only failed to rule out their possibility but also essentially admitted that he had bound the country to further commitments after the end of the financial assistance programme.
“Mr. Tsipras has led the country to an impasse,” he said.
