Size of social dividend to be announced in November, says gov’t spokesman Tzanakopoulos

The government expects to announce the final size of the social dividend and those eligible to receive it within November, stated State Minister and government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos at a press briefing on Tuesday.
Tzanakopoulos noted that the opposition parties should weigh their responsibilities and especially main opposition New Democracy should carefully consider “its stance last year, when it voted against the distribution of 617 million euros to the low-income pensioners, [and decide whether to] insist on the same antisocial line, which blatantly ignores the citizens in real need.”
On the course of the third review, Tzanakopoulos confirmed the very positive atmosphere and prospects of the Greek economy, citing the short discussion on the Greek programme at the recent Eurogroup meeting as well as the statements of European officials.
