Greece’s women’s national basketball team utterly dominated the court against rivals Turkey on Thursday, gaining a ticket to the FIBA Eurobasket Womens semi-finals in Prague with a score of 84-55.
This is the first time that the Greek team reaches the final four in the Eurobasket, in a game that has also secured its place in the World Cup in 2018 in Spain (September 22-30).
The ‘star player’ on coach Kostas Keramidas’ team on Thursday was Evina Maltsi, who scored a double double with 25 points and 10 rebounds.
In the semi-finals, the girls on the Greek team will face the winner of Thursday’s match between France and Slovakia, which begins at 21:30.
