HALC collaborates with Greek News in Go to Greece Campaign

The Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC) has consistently endorsed Greek News’ “Let’s Go to Greece” campaign.  In 2016, however, it is adding a twist.

“HALC congratulates Greek News for continuing its ‘Let’s Go to Greece’ campaign.  The rest of the community now must do more to take it to another level,” said HALC Executive Director Endy Zemenides.  “Greek-Americans can be ambassadors for travel to Greece – encouraging both other Greek-Americans and other Americans to visit Greece.”

To that end, HALC will collaborate with Greek News throughout the summer and launch a travel blog, with Greek-American families sharing their experiences and photos.  “Greece is not merely a place to enjoy the beach and visit family.  If Greek-Americans share special experiences – whether it is taking in a play at Epidauros, a sunset at Cape Sounion, or visiting the Benaki Museum – it will encourage people to make more expansive travel plans to Greece.”

The HALC/Greek News travel blog will appear regularly throughout summer of 2016, both online and in print.
