Greek state budget primary surplus totaled 3.8 billion euros in the January-September period, up from 3.0 billion in the corresponding period last year, the Bank of Greece said on Thursday.
Greece will succeed in meeting the primary surplus targets agreed with its European partners up until 2023, the International Monetary Fund said in its Fiscal Monitor report released on Wednesday.
Greece’s state budget primary surplus was 605 million euros higher in the January-July period this year compared with the same period in 2017, the State Budget Office in Parliament said in a report released on Monday.
The Greek state budget showed a primary surplus of 2.087 billion euros in the January-July period, up from a budget target for a surplus of 929 million euros, the Finance Ministry said on Tuesday, but down from a primary surplus of 3.024 billion euros in the same period last year.

The Greek state budget showed a primary surplus of 2.334 billion euros in the January-April period this year, up from a budget target for a surplus of 374 million euros and primary surplus of 1.726 billion in the same period in 2017.
