Greece, Cyprus and Egypt serve as buffers before the rising instability in the East Mediterranean, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias said in an interview to newspaper Al-Ahram on Tuesday.
In his speech entitled “Principles of Greek Foreign Policy: Emphasising Stability in Southeastern Europe”, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias outlined the framework of a foreign policy centred on “peace, intelligence, dialogue”, he said.
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, joined by his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, on Tuesday inaugurated the recently renovated Kapetanaki building in Izmir, where Greece’s General Consulate will be reinstalled.
The expansion of strategic cooperation between Greece and the United States, along with a number of issues of common geopolitical interest, were raised at the meeting between Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias and US President Donald Trump’s national security advisor, John Bolton, at the White House.
