The confirmed death toll from forest fires that raged through seaside resorts near the Greek capital Athens has increased to 83, following the death of a 73-year-old burn patients in a hospital ICU on Thursday.
The number of dead in the devastating fires in Attica was revised upward to 74 on Tuesday afternoon, while the search for more victims continues in Mati on Attica’s eastern coast.
Greek poet, lyricist and novelist, Manos Eleftherios, died on Sunday morning at the age of 80.
A 50-year-old man died and three people were injured after a car crashed into a bus stop on Thursday at 08:20, in the Athens district of Metamorphosi.
