Two hundred years after the declaration of the Greek Revolution, “the heroic struggle of our ancestors for national independence against Turkish rule continues to inspire us and to give us strength,” said President Katerina Sakellaropoulou from Amfissa on Saturday.

At Amfissa, near Delphi, to commemorate the liberation of the Salona Castle in 1821, Sakellaropoulou expressed her confidence that Delphi would “soon be teeming with visitors and life, a place of culture, inner contemplation and endless inspiration.”
