My dream is not to become prime minister but to contribute to my country,” stated main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Stefanos Kasselakis in an interview with ANT1 TV  on Friday.

Referring to the tragic train collision at Tempi, he urged voters to put pressure on ruling New Democracy MPs to demand a parliamentary preliminary investigation committee into the actions of the former transport minister at the time of the accident, Kostas Karamanlis.
He also spoke of ‘economic interests’ behind the efforts noting at a cover up, saying that “they sped to bury the evidence”.
On the European Parliament elections, Kasselakis said that he wants to “completely overturn” the forecasts and predicted that his party will get well above 17 percentage points in the national elections if SYRIZA manages to “hear society” and “ground itself”, while adding that SYRIZA-PA’s position are clear.
