Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis highlighted the importance of the strategic relationship between Greece and India, in a statement during an official reception by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday.

“It is a true honour to be in India on an official visit, returning the visit of the Indian prime minister to Greece a few months ago. For Greece, the strategic partnership between our two countries is particularly important,” he said, adding that he looked forward to the discussions that he will have with Modi.

He noted that they will have the opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues, including strategic bilateral cooperation and ways to promote economic relations, as well as consulting on political affairs.

Accompanied by his spouse Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotaki, the prime minister arrived at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where he was received by Modi. He then laid a wreath at the monument of Mahatma Gandhi and left a message in the visitors’ book.
