Greek National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias met with his Cyprus counterpart Michalis Giorgallas on Sunday in Nicosia.

Dendias is in Cyprus to represent Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the Greek government at the Cyprus Republic’s 63rd anniversary since its independence.

In a post on X (former Twitter), Dendias said they discussed further strengthening the bilateral collaboration of Greece and Cyprus, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Earlier, Dendias and Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides, along with other Cyprus Republic political leaders, attended a memorial service and laid wreaths at the Presidential Mansion’s Memorial of Democracy and Resistance.
