State Minister Akis Skertsos referred to the ten necessary reforms for Greece of 2027 in an article in the Sunday edition of Kathimerini newspaper.

He referred to the necessary and substantial changes in the economy, in health, in education, in justice, in the state, in the labour market, in the protection of the environment and the natural resources, in safety and even to the institutional framework ahead of new challenges as the AI and the biogenetics.

“The reform, namely our constant adjustment to a world that is rapidly changing, leads to higher resilience and cohesion. For Greece, which is constantly battling with the inactivity, reform may be many times the revolution of the self-evident, the introduction of a crucial innovation,-digital, organisational and administrative that simplifies the procedures, frees the human and material resources, maximizes the effectiveness of the administration and make the citizens’ life easier” he noted.
Skertsos also noted that the reforms are not always accompanied by pain, blood, tears and sweat and do not mean cuts. “We all can gain from the reforms”.

“We are fully aware that the crucial for the success of the changes, for their transformation to reforms is the participation of all the involved parts as well as the citizens’ approval. We clash with the obsessions, the anachronisms and the interests that keep pinned down the workers themselves and infuriate the citizens” he added.

Concluding, he said that the government has the political will, the plan, the tools and the determination to work with coordination and turn into action the multidimensional, radical and inclusive modernisation of the country.
